Former group members

Perla Yazmin Sauceda-Oloño graduated from the University of Sonora in Mexico in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering and a Masters degree in Nanotechnology. Her MS research was based on the encapsulation of iron oxide nanoparticles type core-shell in chitosan as possible theranostic agent. Perla joined our program in the Fall of 2020 and in the summer of 2022 switched to Dr. Smith’s Lab to work on a project aimed at recycling plastics.
